Bhutan, ahh !
How can I describe this country? This is so far the best country I have ever visited. It’s a heaven on earth and I recommend everyone to visit this country once in your life. Me and my wife had a couple of specific things we wanted to do in Bhutan. That’s where Classical Himalaya comes into play. We wanted a plan for 7 days, and Mr Bishnu articulated a perfect itinerary for us. Mr Bishnu also arranged the famous Bumdra Trek.
The visa process and the epermit was received very easily through Bishnu.
When we landed, Mr Phuba and Mr Sonam came to pick us up! The transport was a Pajero ( very well maintained, clean and hygienic). They welcomed us with their traditional scarf. And we were off to Thimphu.
Thimphu being the capital of the country, is itself very beautiful. Later that evening, after some local sightseeing, we checked in the hotel. The hotel being a 3 star hotel was no less than a 5 star luxury hotel. The rooms were probably the best I have ever stayed in. All thanks to Bishnu.
Next day Phuba took to the Buddha temple and then followed by some sightseeing again! He also took us to their local market so that we could buy good economical gifts for our family and friends. Later the next day we were taken to Punakha.
Punakha is a small district but very vibrant with its nature. We stayed at a farmhouse which had almost all the veggies growing in their 9 acre land and these freshly plucked veggies were used for our breakfast and dinner.
The next day we came to Paro, and then there’s the famous Bumdra Trek! Mr. Phuba climbed all the way up with us and took extreme good care. We had dinner together and the next day we hiked down to the Tigers Nest.
We were tired at the end of the day hiking almost 28kms, and Mr. Phuba introduced us to the hot stone massage. Hot stone massage is a non human touch massage and it’s one the most effective way to heal body pain, cramps, fractures or even diseases. I would totally recommend you to include this in your itinerary.
In all, I am falling short of words to describe the planning of Mr. Bishnu, and the execution of Mr. Phuba! I didn’t hear a single NO from either of them and they tried accommodating extra things as a token of kindness.
I would absolutely recommend Mr Bishnu, Mr Phuba and Classical Himalayas.
PS : Phuba has some great photography skills !

Bhutan - a lifetime experience blessed by “Classical Himalayas”
Bhutan - a paradise to visit in one’s Lifetime
I would like to thank Mr. Bhishnu and his team in “Classical Himalayas” for making a lifetime memory Trip of Bhutan.
I chose “Classical Himalayas” as an 100% satisfaction stamp was conferred by my cousin who had visited Bhutan around 2 years back and also send his few office colleagues later. He was impressed on the arrangements made by Mr Bhishnu, the proprietor could had the capability to deliver for a family a safe and an memorable trip of a place called as the best, pure and refreshing place in Asia.
I remember the words of my cousin who said,” if you to have a carefree, safe trip its one name I can suggest and ie “Classical Himalayas”
The conversation started on whatsapp with and almost for the 1st few days it was on what we wanted to see, what was the budget we intend to spend, and the days we could spare for this trip. Once it was decided, it was transfer for money to the account and a confirmation of all ie the Air-tickets, Hotels we would stay followed in flat 2 days.
While this can be expected from any travel agent, but what was unique with “Classical Himalayas” is that each thing offered by them was with Grace and much better than what they had promised ( or probably what we had anticipated)
The biggest issue which we usually find is the GUIDE due to language and ascent. They provide us with guide who is well versed with the languages we are comfortable with. He were Blessed to have a coach for 10 people and an very efficient Driver and a very Good guide called Mr. PHUBA who in few hours became a part of the group for each and every member.
He understood the capability of each of the person and accordingly adjusted his speed of moving around. He understood the likings and dislike of each of the people. The biggest asset he had was his humbleness, patience and his ability to keep cool in all situations.
The groups Safety was the KEY throughout. We were all vegetarian and hence the job got complicated to find the best Vegetarian hotel for us. Classical Himalayas did the best to get us have no complaints for all the meals they managed
All site-seeing were done with the best of organizing skill, right from the time we left the hotel we stayed, the time spent at each of the places, the time to have our food, and returning back to the hotel via shopping on each day.
Some of the excellent site-seeing would not have been possible with out the careful attention of Mr. Phubatheir guide and I would like to mention Tigernest Hill as one of the places, which would have just not been possible without the careful guidance of Mr. Phuba.
So to make it short and sweet, Want to visit Bhutan, just follow these 3 steps

''A company that I would recommend''
We send you some photos of our wonderful trip in Bhutan and a short writing up.
We decided to travel with Classical Himalayas because of the convincing homepage, where possible cultural trips and trekking and tours are presented. The contact by email was very easy. Every question was answered immediately. We could create a tour that we preferred, that combined cultural sightseeing and a trekking for 4 days. The financial procedure was explained and it was easy to transfer the money to a chartered bank in Germany by the bank details we got by email. The flight was also organized by Classical Himalayas. We got visa and flight-tickets by mail and we had no problems with the printed documents.
At the airport in Paro we were welcomed by our guide and our driver and then we visited the first Dzong. After the visit we had a wonderful dinner in the hotel. (even a birthday cake was served). All the hotels had a very good standard and were very clean, the staff was everywhere very friendly. Breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurants and hotels were also very good, with regional cuisine and a lot of fresh vegetable.
Our guide has studied in India, his English was perfect and he always could explain a lot about the buildings, culture, Buddhism, politics and he could answer a lot of questions. He was likable and entertaining, if we wanted to see or visit something special (for example the hospital), he organized.
Our driver also could speak English well, the driving was very save and he showed us interesting places as well, for example the market of Thimphu and helped us to learn some Dzonkha words and explain the traditional food of Bhutan.
Our cultural sight-seeing included the cities and Dzongs of Paro (with wonderful Takshang), Thimphu, and Punakha.
During trekking the luggage was transported by car, when we arrived at a camping place everything was prepared: tents were constructed (a dinner and toilet-tent, too), water for washing and the dinner was again in a very good quality. For lunch during trekking a cook accompanied us.
The Samtengang trek is perfect for winter time: Only sun, not too cold in the nights, nice views of the mountains, nearly no other tourists, offering the possibility to see and take part in the original form of agricultural way of living, so we really recommend winter time.
After nine days it was a pity to leave this wonderful country. We hope that you can use the writing, of course you can shorten or convert it.
