ABOUT THE TOUR
Mountain biking is a popular sport in Bhutan. With good paved roads and off-beaten trails, Bhutan offers ideal biking conditions. Roads and trails aligned across different terrain and altitudes, breaks the monotony of the ride and also challenge the bikers’ physical fitness. Light traffic and zero pollution ensure uninterrupted, safe and pleasurable travel.
There are bikes to suit your preference: with MTB, Hybrid and Road frames are available for daily hire. Services include a biking rucksack with a hand-pump, spare tyre tube, repair kit and a safety helmet. A van will accompany the bikers to accommodate breaks and for refreshments. Bikers can expect to enjoy a unique mountain biking experience in Bhutan. The best time in Bhutan for mountain biking is March, April, May, September, October and November.

Day 01- Arrive in Paro
Overnight: Paro| Altitude: 2250m
Day 02- Paro – Thimphu (Easy) Distance 54 Km. Begin: 2250m, End: 2380m (Easy)
Overnight: Thimphu| Altitude: 2380m
Day 03 - Commence cycle tour to east across Dochula pass altitude 3050m.
Overnight: Punakha| Altitude: 1350m
Day 04 - Visit Punakha dzong and continue towards Gangtey Gompa via Wangdiphodrang.
Overnight: Phobjikha| Altitude: 2900m
Day 05 - Cycle down to Norbuling and then cross Pelela pass altitude 3300 m towards Trongsa.
Overnight: Trongsa| Altitude: 2180m
Day 06 - Cycle upto Yotola pass altitude 3600m and then down to Dumkhar, Chumi and to Bumthang.
Overnight: Jakar| Altitude: 2860m
Day 07 - S/seeing of Bumthang valley.

Day 08 - Jakar – Yonkola (Shengor) (Most Challenging) Distance 98 Km. Start: 2860, End 2950m
Day 09 - Yonkola – Mongar (Moderate) Distance 95 Km. Start: 2950, End 1500m
Overnight: Mongar| Altitude: 1500m
Day 10 - Mongar – Trashigang (Moderate) Distance 107 Km. Start: 1500m, 1700m
Overnight: Trashigang| Altitude: 1700m
Day 11 - Trashigang – Samdrupjongkhar (Strenuous) Distance 180 Km. Start: 1700, End End 150m
Overnight: Samdrup Jongkhar| Altitude: 150m
Day 12 - Departure
Morning your Bhutanese guide will bring will bid you farewell at the border. Drive to Guwhati airport (2 ½ Hrs), Assam, for your departure flight to Delhi.
